Where does my Xbox gift card balance go after redeeming?

Once redeemed, your Xbox gift card balance is added to your Microsoft account wallet. This balance can be used to purchase games, DLC, Game Pass subscriptions, and other content from the Microsoft Store on both Xbox console and Windows PC. The balance does not expire once redeemed and is automatically applied at checkout. It cannot be transferred to another Microsoft account.
