An Xbox account is a Microsoft account — the same account used for Xbox, Windows, and the Microsoft Store. To create one, go to account.microsoft.com and click Create a Microsoft account. Enter your email address (or create a new Outlook address), set a password, and complete the verification steps. Once created you can use this account to sign into your Xbox console, the Xbox app on PC or mobile, and the Microsoft Store. To set up your Xbox profile and gamertag, sign into your Xbox console or the Xbox app, select your account, and follow the prompts to choose a gamertag.
