The maximum Nintendo eShop balance you can hold on your Nintendo Account is $200 USD (or the equivalent in your local currency depending on your region). If your balance is already at or near the maximum, you will not be able to add more funds until you spend some of your existing balance. The maximum balance limit varies slightly by region — for example in Europe the limit is €200 and in the UK it is £200. Things to keep in mind:
If you try to add funds that would push your balance over the maximum, the transaction will be declined
To add more funds simply spend some of your existing balance first to bring it below the maximum
