How to Redeem a V-Bucks Card on Fortnite (ALL Platforms) — FAST & EASY (2026)

4 min read

Got a Fortnite V-Bucks card and not sure how to redeem it? Here's exactly how to do it on every platform — PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. Important: V-Bucks cards cannot be redeemed inside the Fortnite game. You must redeem them on the official Epic Games website.
Before You Start
A few things to check before redeeming:
- You need an Epic Games account — if you've played Fortnite before, you already have one
- Make sure you're on the correct account — V-Bucks are permanently tied to the account that redeems the card and cannot be transferred
- Some cards are region locked — if your card has a regional flag in the upper left corner it can only be redeemed on an Epic or platform account from that region
- V-Bucks on Nintendo Switch stay on Nintendo — V-Bucks redeemed on a Nintendo Switch account can only be used on Nintendo devices, not on PlayStation, Xbox, or PC
- Cards do not expire — no need to rush, but redeeming promptly is always recommended
How to Redeem a V-Bucks Card (All Platforms — Start Here)
Redeem your V-Bucks card at fortnite.com/vbuckscard
- 01Go to fortnite.com/vbuckscard in any web browser. Click Get Started.
- 02Sign in with your Epic Games account — or if you play on PlayStation or Xbox, you can sign in with your console account. Make sure the display name matches your in-game name.
- 03Enter the PIN code from your V-Bucks card — found on the back of physical cards or in your email for digital purchases. Enter it without dashes. Click Next.
- 04Review the details — check the account, platform, and new V-Bucks balance are all correct. Click Confirm.
- PC / Nintendo Switch / Mobile — V-Bucks are added immediately. Launch Fortnite and check your balance in the top-right corner of the main menu.
- PlayStation or Xbox — a secondary code is generated. You need to redeem this code on your PlayStation or Xbox account to complete the process. See the sections below.
PlayStation — Extra Step Required
After confirming on the V-Bucks website, a 12-character PlayStation Store code is generated. You need to redeem this on your PlayStation account:
- Go to the PlayStation Store on your PS5, PS4, or at store.playstation.com
- Select Redeem Code and enter the 12-character code
- The V-Bucks will be added to your Fortnite account
Make sure you sign into the same PlayStation account that is linked to your Epic Games account. If they're not linked, the V-Bucks won't appear in Fortnite.
Xbox — Extra Step Required
After confirming on the V-Bucks website, a 25-character Microsoft code is generated. You need to redeem this on your Microsoft account:
- Go to microsoft.com/redeem and sign in with your Microsoft account
- Enter the 25-character code and click Next
- The V-Bucks will be added to your Fortnite account
Make sure you sign into the same Microsoft account that is linked to your Epic Games account.
V-Bucks Not Showing in Fortnite?
If your V-Bucks don't appear immediately after redeeming:
- Close and reopen Fortnite — this forces the game to refresh your balance
- Check you redeemed on the correct platform — V-Bucks redeemed for Nintendo Switch will not appear on PlayStation or PC
- Make sure your Epic and platform accounts are properly linked at epicgames.com/account/connections
- If they still don't appear after 30 minutes, contact Epic Games Support
If you still need help, use the Live Chat 24/7
