How to Check Your Steam Purchase History (2026 Step-by-Step Guide)

3 views3 min read
Need to check what you've bought on Steam, verify a transaction, find proof of purchase, or just see what you've spent? Steam keeps a full record of every purchase going back to the very first transaction on your account. Here's every way to access it.
Method 1: Steam Client or Web Browser (Fastest)
View your purchase history on PC or web
- The quickest way is to go directly to: store.steampowered.com/account/history/ — sign in if prompted and your full purchase history loads immediately.

- Alternatively, open the Steam client, click your username in the top-right corner, and select Account Details. Scroll down to "Store & Purchase History" and click View Purchase History.

- Your purchase history shows every transaction in chronological order — most recent first. Each entry shows:
- Date of purchase
- Game, DLC, or item name
- Payment method used (card, PayPal, Steam Wallet)
- Total amount paid
Method 2: Mobile App
You can also check your purchase history from the Steam mobile app on iOS or Android:
- Open the Steam app and sign in
- Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner
- Tap Account Details
- Tap View Purchase History
How to Check Keys Activated from Third-Party Sellers
If you activated a game using a key bought from a third-party seller (like GhostKeys, Eneba, or Gamivo), that activation may not appear in your purchase history — it only shows purchases made directly through Steam.
To see all activated keys including third-party ones, go to your licenses page: store.steampowered.com/account/licenses/
This page shows every product ever activated on your account — including keys from external sellers — along with the date they were activated. Use the search function (Ctrl+F in your browser) to find a specific game.

How to See How Much You've Spent on Steam
Want to know your total Steam spending? Go to the Steam Help page:
- Go to help.steampowered.com
- Click My Account
- Select Data Related to Your Steam Account
- Click External Funds Used
How to Request a Refund from Your Purchase History
You can request a refund directly from your purchase history. Find the transaction you want to refund, click on it, and look for the "Request a Refund" option. Steam's refund policy allows refunds on games played under 2 hours within 14 days of purchase. Need help? Message us at the Live Chat 24/7 Online and we'll help you straight away.
